This Listworthy piece is brought to you by me! (with some help from those pesky college ranking lists). I have shared with you, time and again, the notion that just because it is a hard-to-get-into school doesn’t mean it’s really good for you. You know, the only person that really matters in this discussion. Further, just because a school isn’t ultra-selective doesn’t mean you can’t get a world-class education and a great job after attending that school (feel free to ask me for a list of billionaires who attended some of the schools listed below)!
I have taken some time to review U.S. schools that admitted 75% or more of its applicant pool in the past year and have hand-picked the schools I think are the strongest, not just for academics, but social setting, networking, etc. For those who want to know about the rankings of these schools, they vary depending on whose list you are consulting, but as a general rule, they range from the top 4%-19% of U.S. ranked schools (not too shabby!). These schools are sometimes known commodities, but in lesser desired parts of the nation; other times they really are unknown by many who aren’t ‘in-the-know’ but should be! So, sit back, relax and enjoy my take of the top schools that admit the overwhelming majority of its applicant pool! (All schools are listed in alphabetical order)
